Chairman of the US Senate Armed Services Committee John McCain says his country values its relationship with Pakistan during the current challenging times.

In a statement about the committee members' recent meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif held in Washington D.C, he said the meeting was productive.

The US Senator said the two sides discussed the situation in Afghanistan, the fight against Islamic State, and ways to improve coordination between the two countries against terrorists.

Acknowledging the role of Pakistan in war against terror, John McCain said Pakistan Army inflicted losses to the enemy at great sacrifice.
