Hurriyet leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil have denounced Indian attempts to link Kashmiris' peaceful freedom struggle with global terrorism.

In their separate statements in Srinagar, they said India itself is a big terrorist country, where growing intolerance has made life of the minorities miserable.

Shabbir Ahmad Dar termed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address in Turkey an attempt to hoodwink the international community about the plight of Muslims, Christians, Sikh and Dalit Hindus in India.

He said Kashmir issue is still pending on agenda of the United Nations, which had promised to grant right to self-determination to Kashmiris.
