Pakistan ready to help Afghanistan for peace, development
PM says peaceful, prosperous, progressive Afghanistan is in best interest of Pakistan and the region.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said as part of its vision for "Peaceful and Prosperous" neighborhood, Pakistan is ready to help Afghanistan in its quest for peace and development.
Talking to Afghan Finance Minister Eklil Ahmad Hakimi in Islamabad on Monday, he said Pakistan believes that a peaceful, prosperous and progressive Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan and the region.
Nawaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction over the positive momentum in the bilateral relations under the leadership of President Ashraf Ghani.
The Prime Minister stated that there is a great scope to boost our bilateral trade. He said Pakistan would extend all possible support to Afghanistan to accomplish all tasks in infrastructure development and energy sector to consolidate long-term bilateral and regional partnership.
The Afghan Finance Minister thanked the Prime Minister for his special interest in peace and development of Afghanistan.
Air Chief calls on PM in Islamabad
Meanwhile, talking to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief Air Martial Sohail Aman who called on him in Islamabad on Monday, Prime Minister said Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism will be taken to its logical end at all costs.
The Prime Minister said there is no room for terrorism, extremism and intolerance in our society and terrorism will be eliminated from every hook and corner of the country.
The Prime Minister appreciated high professional standard of PAF and its role in the operations against terrorists.
