The National Assembly paid glowing tributes to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader and parliamentarian Makhdoom Amin Fahim who expired on Saturday.         

Speaking in the House, Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah and other members representing different political parties eulogized his services for upholding the cause of constitution and democracy in the country.         

They said due to his death the House has been deprived of a seasoned parliamentarian and a principled politician. They also spoke high of him for his political integrity and loyalty to his party.         

Those who spoke included Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Shahida Akhtar, Shah Jee Gul Afridi, Syed Essa Noori, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor and Abdul Qadir Baloch.         

The House also offered fateha for the departed soul.         

Later, the proceedings of the House were adjourned in respect of his memory.          

The House will now meet on Tuesday morning at 10:30.
