Military operation starts to recapture Fallujah from IS
IS has 'no choice but to flee' says Iraqi PM Haider al-Abadi.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has announced on Monday the launch of a military operation to retake Falluja from Islamic State.
He said that moment of great victory has drawn near and IS has "no choice but to flee."
Meanwhile Iraq's military has already warned civilians to leave the town and those who could not flee should raise a white flag above their homes.
According to Baghdad-based pro-Kurdish news website on Sunday 20,000 police troops had arrived on the outskirts of Falluja ahead of the expected assault.
