Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the overseas Pakistanis are playing a key role in strengthening the economy of the country and they are the great ambassadors of the homeland.

He stated this while addressing the first meeting of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab via video line in Lahore on Monday.

He said that the provincial government has formed Overseas Commission to resolve the problems, being encountered by the Pakistani expatriates all over the country and this institution has been granted complete administrative and financial autonomy.            

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the formation of the OPC would help resolve problems of the Pakistani Diaspora all over the world on priority basis.

He said that the district committees have been constituted in thirty six districts of the province to solve the problems of the overseas Pakistanis.
