Saudi King Abdullah laid to rest
A number of world leaders also attended the funeral.
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia was laid to rest on Friday.
Earlier, funeral prayers of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz were offered at Prince Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh. A number of world leaders also attended the funeral of the Saudi leader.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif represented Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi also offered funeral prayers of King Abdullah .
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia died of respiratory problem in Riyadh early on Friday morning.
King Abdullah had been at a hospital in Riyadh for several weeks.
He was also Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers and Commander of the National Guard.
Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is now officially the new Saudi King.The announcement has been made on the Saudi state television.
King Salman has been the crown-prince and defence minister since 2012. He was governor of Riyadh province for five decades.
According to the announcement, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz will be the new crown prince.
The new king of Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has pledged to continue the policies of his predecessor King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
In a televised speech, the new King said, the country would never deviate from its constitution, the Holy book and Islamic teachings.
He also announced appointment of Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince and Mohammed bin Nayef as Deputy Crown Prince.
