A delegation of the World Health Organization (WHO) led by its Country Director of Pakistan, Doctor Michel Thieren held a meeting with the Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafique and discussed various health projects with him.                                            

Talking to the members of the delegation, Khawaja Salman Rafique apprised them about the Secondary Health Care System and said recommendation have been received for improving it.

This plan will be shared with the WHO and other development partners also. He said billions of rupees funds will be required for replacing or repairing the medical machinery and infrastructure of the district and tehsil hospitals.

The Provincial Adviser informed that the Punjab government has taken effective steps for eradicating the dieses of polio from the province.
