Occupied Kashmir: Hurriyet leaders detained
The Indian authorities have detained Hurriyet leaders to prevent them from leading demonstrations against the BJP government's plan to change demography of Occupied Kashmir .
The Indian police arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik from residence in Srinagar.
The authorities confined Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Zafar Akbar Butt, Ayaz Akbar and Raja Mehrajuddin to their houses in Srinagar by deploying heavy contingents.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the detention of party Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and house arrest of other leaders.
