APHC denounces harassment of people in Occupied Kashmir
In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has denounced harassment of people in the name of so-called security measures by Indian security forces, ahead of Indian Republic Day.
The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said the Indian armed forces are carrying out bloodshed of Kashmiris to suppress their struggle for right to self-determination.
The statement said, as the Indian Republic Day on January 26 is approaching, a situation of fear is being created in the occupied territory.
People staged forceful demonstrations on Friday against the Indian government’s plan to convert Muslim majority into minority, by permanently settling non-Kashmiris in the territory.
Indian police and troops used brute force against the demonstrators at several places injuring many people.
