1500-2000 MW electricity to be added to national grid this year: Abid
State Minister for Water and Power says work on Diamer-Bhasha and Dasu dams has been started besides Neelum and Jhelum hydro-power projects.
State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali says 1500-2000 megawatt electricity would be added to the national grid this year.
Talking to a delegation in Multan‚ he said this would help overcome energy crisis.
Abid Sher Ali said that testing of 747 MW power generation has been started at Guddu Thermal Power Plant and the first phase of Nandi Power Plant would start producing electricity from May this year.
He said work on Diamer-Bhasha and Dasu dams has been started besides Neelum and Jhelum hydro-power projects.
