LHC reserves verdict on PCB plea against property tax
Single bench comprising Justice Ibad-ur-Rehman Lodhi reserved the verdict after hearing arguments of parties.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved verdict on a petition filed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) challenging 60.04 million rupees property tax imposed on Qaddafi Stadium and connected premises of the board.
The single bench comprising Justice Ibad-ur-Rehman Lodhi reserved the verdict after hearing arguments of parties.
Earlier, PCB's counsel Tafazzul Rizvi arguing before the court submitted that the PCB acquired the Qaddafi Stadium land on lease for a period of forty years from the Punjab government and as per law, it was not bound to pay the property tax being a lessee.
