Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet in Peshawar today approved the draft rules of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Levies and Khasadar Act, 2019.

Addressing a news conference after the cabinet meeting in Peshawar on Friday, Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said the cabinet also approved handing over maintenance of three hundred and eighty-three km roads in tribal districts to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority.

He said one hundred and fifty-seven road inspectors will be recruited for these highways in the merged districts.

The cabinet dissolved FATA Development Authority and its responsibilities were handed over to the concerned provincial departments. 

The cabinet also approved constitution of a ten- member board to look after the affairs of Shelter Homes in the province.
