Britain Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson has said that U K should hold talks with the Taliban to find a long-term solution for establishing peace in Afghanistan.

According to daily Telegraph, Williamson told Defence Select Committee that it was in the U.K.’s vital interest that peace and stability be established in Afghanistan .

He also said he strongly believes that only solution to the conflict in Afghanistan is through a political settlement, led and owned by Afghans themselves.

He added ,Afghanistan’s future must be decided through dialogue, not the gun.
