World Book and Copyright Day observed on Monday to promote reading, publishing and valuing of copyrights.

The day is celebrated annually by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to highlight the vision of knowledge societies that are inclusive, equitable and participatory for all citizens.
