Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says the present government has made the country an emerging economic power.

Talking to newsmen in Narowal today, he said we all have to take the country forward through our hard work and by forging unity among our ranks.

He said those countries are successful which are economically strong.

Ahsan Iqbal called for safeguarding political stability and peace in the country at all costs.

He said that one day Pakistan will become a strong socio-economic power provided the whole nation works very hard.

Earlier, addressing a ceremony in connection with Pakistan Day at Narowal on Friday afternoon, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says peace and stability is very important for the development and prosperity of country.

He said menace of terrorism has been controlled with the operations like Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad.
