No constitutional provision for judicial martial law in country: Chief Justice

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has ruled out the possibility of judicial martial law in the country.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore today, he said there is no constitutional provision for such a move.

The Chief Justice asserted that any deviation from the constitution or derailing democracy will not be tolerated.

Mian Saqib Nisar expressed the confidence that the upcoming elections would be independent and the next government would be formed in accordance with the Constitution.
