Erdogan to hold meeting with Russia, France and Germany over Syria situation
February 23, 2020

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he will meet the leaders of Russia, France and Germany to discuss the situation in northwest Syria.

Talking to media in Izmir, he said military push by Moscow-backed government forces against the last opposition-held enclave has displaced nearly a million people. The United Nations has also warned that an escalation in fighting could end in a "bloodbath" and called for an immediate ceasefire.
