300 vehicles on fire near Bengaluru Air Show in India
February 23, 2019

In India, three hundred vehicles have been destroyed in a massive fire at an airshow in Bengaluru city on Saturday.

Senior police officer MN Reddi said the cause of the fire could be a lit cigarette that was disposed on the grass in the open field.

He said the fire spread rapidly due to dry grass and strong winds. Hundreds of vehicles, including two-wheelers and cars, were seen parked in files in the open ground, surrounded by fire.

The fire under control and no injuries have been reported.

On Tuesday, two Indian Air Force planes collided in mid-air while rehearsing an aerobatic show, killing one pilot and injuring two others.
