US Senate to vote tomorrow to resolve month-long partial govt shutdown
January 23, 2019

US Senate will vote to resolve a month-long partial government shutdown tomorrow.

According to media reports, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has laid the groundwork for a vote on a Democratic proposal to fund the government for three weeks, without attaching the 5.7 billion dollars in U.S.-Mexico border wall funding demanded by US President Donald Trump.

The president has opposed similar legislation in the House of Representatives.
