Security forces have successfully cleared the highest and craggiest mountain top Brekh Muhammad Kandao near Pak-Afghan border during Operation Khyber IV.

 

According to ISPR, many terrorists were killed while few others fled to Afghanistan.

 

During the operation, the hideouts of terrorists were dismantled and a cache of IEDs, arms and ammunition were also recovered.

Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Chaudhry says Islamabad's counter terrorism efforts have resulted in a significant decline in terrorist attacks in the country.

 

Talking to APP in Washington, he said that Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism and has paid a staggering human and financial cost in the fight against this menace.

 

The envoy said that Pakistan is maintaining the momentum in fighting terrorism as is evident through Operation Rad-ul-Fassad and the recently launched Operation Khyber-IV.

German Ambassador Tilo Klinner called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi today.

 

Matters pertaining to bilateral relations and development projects in various fields, including energy and infrastructure, in Sindh were discussed in the meeting.

 

DONATION

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed all the relevant departments to take stern legal action against those individuals and organizations involved in the collection of illegal donations from general public.

 

An official handout issued in Peshawar says only those organizations can collect donations, which have been registered with the federal or provincial government and have submitted audit reports of their income and expenditures.

Final phase of repatriation of temporarily displaced persons from South Waziristan begins on Tuesday and will continue till 5th of next month.

    

In an interview, a spokesman for FATA Disaster Management Authority said about 3500 families belonging to different areas of South Waziristan will go home in the final phase.

In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have strongly denounced the cold-blooded murder of an innocent youth, Tanveer Ahmad Wani, by Indian Army in Budgam district.

 

Tanveer Ahmad Wani was martyred when Indian Army opened fire on protesting youth in Beerwah area of the district yesterday.

 

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement in Srinagar termed the killing of youth as  worst example of state terrorism.

 

He said that Indian police and troops were carrying out genocide of Kashmiris in a planned manner.

 

EGYPT-AU

Arab Union has called on the international community to warn Israel to stop use of brute force against defenseless Palestinians.

 

In a statement, the Union also urged world community to pressure Tel Aviv to respect the international decisions regarding the status of Jerusalem.

 

Meanwhile, Egypt has also said that it is extremely worried about the disproportionate use of force by police against Palestinians in Jerusalem and around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
