Many terrorists killed, few fled to Afghanistan. Terrorists hide out dismantled, cache of IEDs, arms and ammunition recovered.

Economy is moving towards stability due to government's prudent policies- SBP keeps interest rate unchanged at 5.75 percent

State Bank of Pakistan has kept interest rate of 5.75 percent unchanged. This was stated by Governor State Bank Tariq Bajwa while announcing monetary policy for next two months in Karachi on Saturday.

Final phase of TDPs repatriation from SWA to begin on Tuesday

Final phase of repatriation of temporarily displaced persons from South Waziristan Agency begins on Tuesday and will continue till 5th of next month.  In an interview, a spokesman for FATA Disaster Management Authority said about 3,500 families belonging to different areas of South Waziristan will go home in the final phase.

UN lauds Pakistan for launching new project to register undocumented Afghan refugees

The United Nations has lauded Pakistan for launching a new pilot project to register undocumented Afghan refugees in the country. Talking to newsmen in Geneva, a spokesperson of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Duniya Aslam Khan said the project would allow up to one million Afghan refugees to get legal status, who were living up to now in the country without identity papers.
