Commerce Minister says strenuous efforts are being made to overcome energy crisis
Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has said terrorism and energy crises are major hurdles in the country's progress and prosperity.
Addressing a ceremony in Gujranwala on Sunday, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-N government is taking practical steps to eliminate terrorism to establish peace in the country, which is vital for progress and prosperity of the nation.
He said strenuous efforts are being made to overcome the energy crisis.
The Minister said the industrialists should focus on improving quality of their products to compete in the international market so that Pakistan's exports could be increased.
He said payment has been made to the people affected by Diamer Dam and Neelam-Jhelum project will start generation cheap electricity by the end of next year.
He assured that Pumps and Motors Development Institute will set up in Gujranwala under public and private partnership for improving standard of "Pumps and Motors sector.
