China lodges protest on Modi's visit to disputed border zone
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman says Chinese government has never recognized the so-called Arunachal Pradesh.
China has lodged protest against with India over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to a disputed area on China-India border.
Indian Ambassador was summoned by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister in Beijing and was told that Indian action undermined China's territorial sovereignty and artificially amplified differences between the two countries on the border issue.
Modi visited a disputed area in the eastern part of China-India border on Friday last to attend activities marking the anniversary of the so-called "Arunachal Pradesh".
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman in Beijing said the Chinese government has never recognized the so-called Arunachal Pradesh.
