Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif says the government wants Muttahida Qaumi Movement to remain part of the parliament.

In an interview, he said dialogue with the MQM is underway to find a reasonable solution to the issue.

To a question the Minister said there would be no compromise on Karachi operation as it was started with consensus of all political parties including Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

He said JUI-F chief Fazal ur Rehman is holding talks with MQM on behalf of the federal government and all their constitutional demands could be accepted.
