Analysts laud PM’s role towards protestors
Participants of Nuqta-e-Nazar programme urge PTI and PAT leaders to adopt the path of negotiations.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has emphatically stated that the Government would not allow protestors to attack state institutions.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday evening, he said as per written understanding PTI and PAT were allowed to be confined outside the Red Zone but they were allowed inside the zone on their insistence.
Speaking in Nuqta-e-Nazar programme of Radio Pakistan, ANP leader Sardar Hussain Babak said: “The role of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif towards protestors is laudable. This march defamed the image of country at international level. Imran Khan has done nothing in KPK, now how can he do something for all the country. Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri want to create unrest in the country.”
JUI-F KPK leader Maulana Lutf-ur-Rehman said “Protests in politics can be done to a certain limits in democracy. It is inappropriate, if someone crosses these limits. We request to leaders of protestors to adopt the path of negotiations because it is in the interest of all stake holders. Second path is wrong and it would be called as law of jungle. All the political parties are at same page to save democracy and not in favor of dissolution of assemblies.”
Analyst Dr. Mahdi Hassan said: “This is not kind of protest instead they are challenging the writ of government. These are the people who don’t know history of Pakistan. Such unconstitutional steps lead towards big losses like plundering and bloodshed.”
