On the second day of the first cricket Test against Pakistan at Kingston, West Indies will resume play at an overnight score of 244 for seven on Saturday.Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field.Half-centuries by Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich engineered a West Indies revival in reaching 244 for seven at stumps against Pakistan on the opening day of the first Test at Sabina Park on Friday.Coming together immediately after lunch when opener Kieran Powell became Mohammad Amir's third wicket with the innings in tatters at 71 for five, Chase batted with confidence and fluency for a top score of 63.His sixth-wicket partnership with Dowrich was worth 118 runs, the wicketkeeper-batsman enhancing his reputation with a polished 56, the pair making a mockery of the West Indies' earlier struggles after they were put in to bat.
15-member Women’s team announced for ICC World Cup
The Women National Selection Committee, headed by Mohammad Ilyas, has selected a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup to be played in England from June 24 to July 24. Pakistan Women’s team will feature in two warm-up matches against West Indies and Australia on June 20 and 22, respectively before the start of the mega event, said a spokesman for Pakistan Cricket Board here on Friday.The selected players are: Ayesha Zafar, Bibi Nahida, Mariana Iqbal, Bisma Maroof, Javeria Khan, Syeda Nain Fatima Abidi, Sidra Nawaz (wicket keeper), Sana Mir (captain), Kainat Imtiaz, Asmavia Iqbal Khokhar, Diana Baig, Waheeda Akhtar, Nashra Sandhu, Ghulam Fatima and Sadia Yousuf.

Easily sailing for seeded players in the 36th edition of the Chief of the Air Staff Khyber Open Tennis Championship being played here at PAF Officer Mess Courts on Friday. The courts have given a tough and slower response due to overnight heavy rain but all seeded players advanced to next round in the Men’s singles, Under-18. Pakistan’s most Davis Cupper Aqeel Khan beat Ahmad Mail of Karachi in straight sets, the score was 6-2 and 6-3. Aqeel did not take much time in toppling Ahamd Kamil of Karachi in straight sets.Farhan Ullah recorded victory against Inam Ullah in thrilling three sets battle, the score was 6-3, 3-6 and 6-4.The match lasted for most a hour and both Farhan Ullah and Inam Ullah provided great thrilling for the sitting spectators. Farhan Ullah has better cross-court smashes and baseline shorts.Inam Ullah also tried his hard to come back in to the game but he was failed and thus Farhan Ullah won the match 2-1.
