Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a state-of-the-art Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to respond to queries and complaints of taxpayers and general public promptly and efficiently. Chairman FBR Dr. Muhammad Irshad inaugurated the Complaint Management System in Islamabad on Friday. He said the installation of the CRM was a great leap forward and a vast improvement on the previous arrangement which lacked a proper mechanism for tracking, categorizing, monitoring and archiving taxpayers complaints. He said that in a very short span of time, we focused on these problems and came up with solutions that have significantly improved taxpayer facilitation.

Provision of employment to disabled victims of natural calamities is imperative: Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain

First lady Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for providing employment opportunities to the disabled victims of natural calamities. She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a free medical camp in Islamabad today for spinal cord injury patients of 2005 earthquake. The camp has been set up by Pakistan institute of medical sciences and national institute of rehabilitative medicine.

Load-shedding issue to resolve soon in the country

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed the initiation of a probe into the conduct of power distribution companies that are alleged to have provided unauthenticated figures of improvement in line losses and recovery of electricity bills. A senior official of the Ministry of Water and Power said secretary to the Prime Minister Cast doubt about the data of line losses and bill recoveries in a high-level meeting on April 10, chaired by the premier. The secretary suggested that a third party should be hired for verification of the claims made by the Ministry of Water and Power and distribution companies about substantial improvement in line losses and bill recoveries.
