The United Nations Security Council has unanimously passed a resolution aimed at toughening the UN response to peacekeepers misconduct.

The resolution presented following a string of failures by the blue helmets to protect civilians. 

The resolution is intended to reinforce measures such as repatriating peacekeepers, replacing units and withholding UN payments for soldiers involved in misconduct.
