Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said despite limited resources, it is priority of the government to protect the vulnerable segments of the society during these testing times.

He was addressing a ceremony in connection with distribution of ration packages amongst newspaper hawkers in Islamabad on Friday.

The Information Minister said under Ehsaas program, cash assistance is being provided to the deserving families in the most efficient and transparent manner.

Shibli Faraz said the services of newspaper hawkers will also be acknowledged and a cash assistance program will soon be launched for them. 

Shibli Faraz said given the services rendered by newspaper hawkers, he has a special respect for this segment of the society.

The Information Minister also asked the people to continue to follow the precautionary measures. He said we will have to not only fight the coronavirus but also move forward.
