In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Kulgam district, today (Wednesday).

The martyrs were identified as Zahid Ahmed Mantoo and Irfan Manzoor. Zahid was a resident of   Feeripora area of Shopian while Irfan belonged to Paonwhi, Kulgam.

Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held for the martyred youth in their native areas of Shopian and Kulgam districts. Thousands of people flouting restrictions turned up and participated in the funerals. Pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans were raised, on the occasion.

The troops also launched cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama and Bandipora districts.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, welcomed the seeking of details by three Special Rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Council from India about torture and killing in the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, in total disregard to the international obligations, India has shamelessly informed the United Nations Human Rights Council that it will not entertain any communication with the HRC Special Rapporteurs on its report on human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

Indian newspaper The Hindu reported that between 2016 and 2018 the UN Special Rapporteurs had sent as many as 58 communications but had received no response from India.

The Kashmir Council Europe organized a one-day camp in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, in connection with its Europe based one-million signature campaign on Kashmir.
