Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan has said JUI (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, being a religious scholar, should promote peace and harmony instead of malice.

In a tweet on Wednesday, she said exploiting innocent children of the nation and turning them into a political force for defense of the corrupt mafia is neither Islam nor democracy. She said Maulana Fazlur Rehman harbors malice against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

مولانا فضل الرحمن صاحب سے گزارش ہے کہ اسلام کو نگاہ میں رکھیں اسلام آباد کو نہیں۔قوم کے معصوم بچوں کو کرپٹ مافیا کے دفاع کیلئے سیاسی قوت بنانا نہ اسلام ہے اور نہ ہی جمہوریت ۔آپ عمران خان کی عداوت میں مبتلا ہیں۔عالم دین ہونے کی حیثیت سے آپ امن و اخوت کو فروغ دیں عداوت کو نہیں۔

Meanwhile, responding to the speech of Maryam Nawaz, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said in Islamabad today that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the ultimate hope of nation and Maryam Nawaz was unduly criticizing him, in a bid to raise her stature.

She said it seems that those who have plundered the national exchequer have pushed their children into 'furnace of politics' to eventually save himself. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said these are the same characters, who despite their involvement in plunder, are showing stubbornness. She asked on what account, those who pushed the country into a quagmire, were holding the nine-month old government accountable.
