OIC has rejected and condemned Paraguay's decision to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem and stressed that this illegal act constitutes a provocation and a flagrant violation of international law and UN resolutions.

This was expressed in a statement issued by OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen in Jeddah.

OIC Secretary General said that this action, even if it creates a reality, would not establish a right or acquire legitimacy.

He called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities in this regard.

He pointed out that the last OIC extraordinary summit held in Istanbul had decided to take appropriate political, economic and other measures towards those States that take such steps.
