United Nations while expressing grave concern over violence in Idlib region of Syria has asked the warring parties to stop fighting immediately.

Talking to media in Geneva, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said nearly nine hundred people with majority women and children have fled in the latest fighting under the most tragic circumstances.

He said hundreds have been killed while young children are freezing to death.

He appealed to donors for an additional 500 million dollars to cover the needs of the displaced people.
