Adviser to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui has said that steps are being taken to encourage the writers and poets of the country.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that the government is planning to expand the scope of literary activities and to open offices of Academy of Letters in interior Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

He said the Pakistan Academy of Letters will be the center of literary activities at national and regional level.

The Adviser said that literary committees will be formed very soon to review the literary materials of writers and poets and its publication.
