Pakistan determined to deal with impacts of climate change
PM says Green Pakistan Programme has put in operation to fight adverse impacts of Climate Change.
International Day of Forests is being observed in Pakistan as elsewhere in the world today.
The Day is being celebrated to raise awareness about importance of all types of forests.
In his message on the occasion, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said the government realizes the importance of trees as best instruments of Climate Change Mitigation.
He said it is a matter of pleasure that Pakistan has already ratified the 'Paris Agreement' whereby Pakistan is committed to deal with impacts of climate change through technology framework and enhanced capacity building.
The Prime Minister said Green Pakistan Programme has already put in operation in the country to fight adverse impacts of Climate Change.
