Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch has said the process of repatriation and rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) would begin from the mid of next month which would be completed within one year.      

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon, he said 100 billion rupees are needed for the repatriation and rehabilitation of two million TDPs.

He said every possible step would be taken for their early rehabilitation. He said the government would compensate tribesmen for the losses they suffered.       

The minister said one Zarb-e-Azb is going on in North Waziristan, while another would be started in the cities and streets of Pakistan to eliminate terrorists.           

Abdul Qadir Baloch stressed the need of making joint efforts to win the war against terrorism. He urged the media to help police and civil administration in war against terrorism. 

The minister said employment opportunities in mineral resources exploration and other fields will be created for the displaced people, who return to their native areas in North Waziristan.       

Replying to a question, he said the government will ensure honorable return of the Afghan refugees by 31st December 2015 as per the commitment.  

He said Pakistan and Afghanistan have a good understanding over the issue, which will be resolved amicably.
