Chinese company to expand investment in energy sector
China Three Gorges South Asia Investment company says it has plan to facilitate power generation up to 4000 MW in Pakistan.
China Three Gorges South Asia Investment company says it has a plan to facilitate power generation up to 4000 megawatt in long run in Pakistan.
In a meeting with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today, its Chairman briefed him about over 6 billion dollars worth of solar, wind, wind-solar hybrid and hydro power projects the company is already undertaking in Pakistan. These seven projects have a capacity of three thousand megawatts.
He said the company has already taken up investment in projects on Jhelum River and now desires to work on projects upstream on river Indus.
The Finance Minister welcomed the company’s plan to expand its operations beyond the already undertaken projects in power sector in Pakistan.
