Analyst on Telephone:

Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert):

From the very beginning, it was clear that Kalbushan was serving officer of Indian navy. He himself admitted that he was sent by Indian government for subversive activities in Pakistan. India is facing embarrassment and cannot force Pakistan on this issue. India has no option but to admit that Kalbushan was an Indian spy caught red handed. He has been awarded punishment according to law.

Abdullah Gul (Defence Analyst):

India is making Pakistan’s case on Kalbushan stronger by its frivolous stance. He was working on the direction of Indian government. He was using two passports issued by Indian government. He has to use undercover name and passport to carry out his activities. Despite modern technology with Indian passport issuing authority, he got two passports. Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be underestimated. It is winning a huge war on terrorism. Peace in region should be based on equality not on the basis of hegemonic principles. The peace efforts of Pakistan have been recognized by UN, China, Russia and Arab countries. India is on the losing side of the Kalbushan Yadev issue.
