“Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always stood by each other in testing times”: PM
The people of Pakistan have deep emotional attachment with the Kingdom being the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He was talking to Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Saudi Arabia retired Vice Admiral Khan Hasham in Islamabad today. The two countries have maintained cordial and brotherly relations marked by commonalities on all issues of mutual interest at regional and international level.

He was talking to Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia Khan Hasham Bin Saddique in Islamabad today. The president hoped that ambassador-designate would work for further deepening and expanding already close bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia by utilizing his capabilities. The president said both countries had convergence of views on all regional and international issues and support each other on international fora which reflected friendly relations between the two states.

Talking to media persons in Wah Cantt, Ch Nisar says people are giving strange and illogical arguments on the verdict of the apex court. The decision of Supreme Court is still sub judice, as the JIT is being formed for further investigation.
The court will give its final verdict on the basis of evidence and not allegations.
All the five judges were unanimous about formation of the JIT.

In Iran, campaigning officially started today for the country's presidential election to be held next month. Guardian Council has approved six candidates for the May 19 vote, including incumbent President Hassan Rouhani. However, hardline former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was disqualified. Iran's top leaders regard the election in part as a show of defiance against renewed U.S. pressure under President Donald Trump.
South Korea on heightened alert as North Korea prepares for major army event
South Korea is on heightened alert ahead of another important military anniversary in North Korea and fear of nuclear test by Pyongyang. South Korea's Unification Ministry spokesman Lee Duk-haeng said in Seoul that the nighboring country will mark the 85th anniversary of the foundation of its Korean People's Army on Tuesday.
