Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan has said that global warming is the biggest risk to the sustainability of the life and the intricate ecosystem on earth.

He expressed these thoughts in his message in connection with Earth Day, which is observed on 22nd April every year. He said there is a pressing need for urgent action to avert looming threats of the destructions to the sustainability of mother earth.

The minister said global warming has made occurrence of climate change so rapid and weathers unpredictable. He said protecting existing forests and growing new ones, conserving water resources, contaminating all kinds of pollutions, controlling land erosion, reducing use of cars and using public transports are among others much-needed measures for making mother earth sustainable and liveable.
