Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr. Shahbaz Gill says government is taking concrete steps for poverty reduction in the country.
Talking to the media persons along with Parliamentary Secretary Kanwal Shauzab after visiting the mobile langarkhana in Rawalpindi today, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan's special program ‘Koi Bhooka Na Soey’ is aimed at combating hunger through provision of hygienic food to the poor.
He urged the opposition to avoid doing politics on this scheme that is beneficial for poor people.
Regarding Lahore incident of 14th August, he said around 66 people have been arrested and FIR has also been registered against another person involved in Rikshaw case.
Speaking on the occasion, Kanwal Shauzab said Prime Minister's "Koi Bhooka Na Soey Program" is the practical manifestation of Islamic Welfare State.
She said under this program laborers coming from different small cities get hygienic food in a respectful manner.
