US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad is arriving in Qatar today to resume talks with Taliban on peace process in Doha.

The next round of talks with the Taliban is part of an overall effort to facilitate a peace process that ends the conflict in Afghanistan.

Zalmay Khalilzad will also visit Kabul later today to consult with the leadership of the Afghan government on the peace process and encourage full preparation for intra-Afghan negotiations.

Meanwhile, in a tweet, Zalmay Khalilzad said we will try and close on remaining issues.
