D I Khan:7 people including three police personnel martyred in two separate incidents of terrorism

Five persons including a police constable were martyred while seventeen others injured in a suicide bomb blast inside trauma Centre of District Headquarter hospital D I Khan on Sunday.

According to Police officials, the suicide bomber exploded him when Rescue 1122 vehicle entered the hospital carrying dead bodies of two police constables martyred earlier in the morning.

The injured have been shifted to Combined Military hospital D I Khan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has strongly condemned the bomb blast in Dera Ismail Khan and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident. 

In statement in Washington today, he termed the incident a failed attempt to disrupt law and order.

The Foreign Minister said such cowardly acts will not plummet our morale.  He said those who target hospitals are the worst enemies of humanity.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed strong resolve to uproot terrorism from the country.

He said the police personnel who lay their lives in the line of duty are pride of the nation.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.

In a statement in Peshawar, he reiterated that such cowardly acts cannot deter the government's resolve against terrorism.

He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls and early recovery of injured in the incidents.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has strongly condemned Dera Ismail Khan blast and directed the concerned departments to reach on the spot and serve the needy and wounded people.

He expressed sorrow and deep grief over the incident. The Minister also expressed sympathies with family and relatives of martyred Police Jawan.

Gandapur termed it as a reaction of successful democratic process in Tribal belt which made history yesterday.

He assured the nation that the sacrifices of law enforcement agencies' personnel will not go wasted and the terrorists and their facilitators will be eliminated from the country.
