In occupied Kashmir, authorities have imposed further restrictions ahead of India's Republic Day celebrations.

Checkpoints have been erected in many places in Srinagar and frisking has been intensified. The people of the territory, especially the Kashmir valley and Muslim dominated areas of Jammu region continue to face problems due to the ongoing military siege and lockdown, which enter 170th day, today.

Indian police have arrested many Kashmiri youth during raids on the houses over the past few days.
