The Lahore Arts Council has planned to hold a series of events throughout the year to revive cultural activities under the council.

In a media interview, Executive Director of the Council Athar Ali Khan said that people want quality and free-of-cost entertainment therefore the council has chalked out a comprehensive plan to hold a series of culture activities and also introduce various kinds of performing art.

He said that the event "Alhamra Live" will be held after every couple of months and feature the students of dance, music and theatre from Alhamra Performing Arts classes.

He said that the four-day festival will feature dramas produced by Mass Foundation, Azad Theatre, Ajoka Theatre and Akas Theatre.

He said that the basic objective of "Manto Festival" is to attract families so that they could enjoy quality theatre.
