Different parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are receiving intermittent rains which has increased the intensity of cold.

A spokesperson of met office told our correspondent that the current rain spell will persist in Upper Punjab and Islamabad till tomorrow whilst the northern areas will intermittently receive rains during the next two to three days.

Snow is also blanketing the hilly areas.

The spokesperson said that 17.5 inch snowfall has been recorded in Kalam, 8 inch in Malam Jabba, 6 inch in Chitral and two inch in Murree.

Temperatures dropped to minus seven in Gupis and Bagrote, -6 in Skardu and minus five in Astore, Hunza and Kalam.
