In a meeting with his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa on the sidelines of CICA Summit in Shanghai, he said it is important for the reg
ional countries to strengthen bilateral and multifaceted cooperation.
The two sides discussed a whole gamut of issues.
President Mamnoon Hussain underlined the need for the two countries to continue working closely to sustain and build on the useful linkages.
He reiterated Pakistan's support towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of Sri Lanka.
President Mamnoon Hussain stressed the need for greater efforts on both sides to translate the existing excellent relationship of the two countries into economic and commercial terms.
There was complete unanimity of views between the two Presidents that the existing cooperation between the two countries and mutual support at all fora needs to be further strengthened.
