Pakistan Cricket Board has nominated Arif Abbasi as chief consultant of the board.

Talking to media at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday, Arif Abbasi said he will try his best to live up to expectations of the board and will bring improvement in it. He said all changes will be made in the board purely on merit.

Abbasi said he accepted the post as a challenge and assured to make efforts for the good of the game.

Present on the occasion, PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf said Arif Abbasi has already served the board.

He expressed sorrow that continuous changes in the cricket board have brought a bad name for the country at international level.
