Government forces bomb east Damascus after rebel assault
Syrian government forces bombed eastern areas of the capital Damascus today.
Activists said opposition-held parts of Jobar had been targeted repeatedly by aircraft and artillery, amid fierce clashes along the front lines.
Air raids were also reported in neighbouring Qaboun and Arbin.
There are no reports of any casualty so far.
Earlier, state media said the military had recaptured all of the territory it had lost in yesterday's rebel assault.
